Where can I ride my ATV?

How can I learn to be safe on my ATV?

What can I do to help protect my opportunities to ride my favorite trails?

These are but a few of the common questions people ask about the popular All Terrain Vehicle recreation sport.  If you've asked yourself these questions, you've come to the right place.  With an extreme emphasis on personal safety, you will find here a wealth of information that will aid you in being safe, legal and in protecting our environment as well as our opportunity to ride.

ATV recreation is one of the fastest growing forms of recreation in Utah and throughout the western United States.  Dealers report many thousands of ATV sales each year. Newspapers report frequent accidents including deaths.

There are basic requirements that owners of ATV’s must observe.

The research required to  legally and safely ride takes hours and hours.  As a result many choose to overlook those details and just wing it.  It is hoped that providing this information here will serve as an example that this research is not only possible, but productive and worth the effort

While ATV recreation is warmly embraced generally by the public, there are opponents of ATV recreation who would like to eliminate this form of recreation on public lands in Utah.  Working together we can preserve our opportunities to ride and enjoy our public lands which make up about 80% of the State of Utah.
