NEW Site PUBLISHED! www.utahatvtrails.com
is reality!
After months of
planning and preparation and excellent cooperation from the Utah Powersports
Dealers Association and Digital Extreme, my recreational persuits have
transformed from journal entries to a published web site.
Of special note, I'd like
to thank Bruce Steadman, of Steadman's in Tooele, Evan Glassett of the
UPDA, and Jason Smith of Digital Extreme, without whose help this dream
would have never come true.
Please be sure you save this
new URL address on your list of favorites, or memorized URL sites so you
can access the new address quickly. The old site will be transformed
to a link to the new site.

WCNF Comment Reminder:
We have two opportunities to demonstrate
our support of motorized travel in the forest. The first is a public
comment session at Skyline High on October 16 5PM to 8PM.
It is very important that MANY OHV enthusiasts show up for this
opportunity to comment. I plan to throw in my two bits while there.
If you'd like to see what I'm going to say contact
me and I'll share it with you. (Rumor has it that our archivist
friends are actually paid for attending, sorry, but the only pay you'll
get the the opportunity to continue riding)
November 1 is the last date to comment
in writing to the WCNF (Wasatch Cashe National Forest) Several of
the forest management plans proposed would exclude ATV riders from the
forest in material ways. If those plans are adopted you had better
be able to hike great distances or you will never be able to see some of
the most beautiful parts of the forest again.
The WCNF has already closed most of the
Wasatch Front canyons to motorized travel. This only increases the
burden on the environment in other locations. We need more motorized
trails, not less.
Here is the addresses you can use to make
comment in writing to:
Address:
Wasatch-Cache National Forest
8236 Federal Building
125 S State St
Salt Lake City, UT 84138
Phone:(801) 524-3900
The more specific you are about where you
would like to see remain open and how we should expand the opportunities
to ride, not further restrict them, will increase the usefulness of our
efforts.
Please take a few minutes and do this today.
If you have done this, Good Job!
